Remy Nelson

Remy’s motivation to work in mental health comes from a desire to understand and learn from others and to help others understand and learn from themselves. She believes that therapy is a meaning-making endeavor and supports clients as they build greater insight into their own values, behavior patterns, and thought processes. One of her favorite things about being a mental health counselor is the element of life-long learning that it involves. She deeply appreciates that working as a therapist requires her to engage in the pursuit of knowledge both as she learns from clients and as she studies and learns about different theoretical orientations and interventions to best serve clients.
